See Personal Information We Collect and Data Retention and Legal Bases for more information.

Verification. The easiest way to exercise your rights while protecting your privacy and security is by logging into your account so we can verify your account ownership. You can also make a request outside of your Grindr account by clicking here, but then we'll require some additional information to authenticate your identity and ownership of your account.

Authorized Agents. If you are an authorized agent for an individual, please click here to submit a request and attach a signed designation form from the individual that you represent authorizing you to serve as the individual's agent for the purposes of exercising the individual's rights under the applicable privacy law. Individuals can optionally notarize the document or provide a Power of Attorney document along with the signed designation form. If you do not provide the signed designation form, we cannot honor any requests you submit on behalf of the individual.

Appeals. Depending on the state in which you reside, you may be able to appeal a decision made regarding your privacy request by submitting a request here. In the event we deny your appeal, you will provide a written explanation of the decision, and instructions on how to contact your local Attorney General for further review where permitted under certain U.S. state privacy laws.

Opt-Out Preference Signals. Grindr will attempt to recognize and process opt-out preference signals in a seamless manner. In addition to opting out of the sale (or sharing for cross-contextual behavioral advertising) of your Personal Information via settings in the Grindr Services or submitting a request here, you can also opt-out by broadcasting an opt-out preference signal ("Signal"), such as the Global Privacy Control ("GPC") on a browser and/or a browser extension that support such a Signal. The ability to process your Signals may depend on the Grindr Properties that you are browsing:

If you are browsing Grindr Web (either on a mobile or web browser), your request to opt-out of sale via the Signal will be processed and linked to your account (i.e., the opt out will be in effect when you log in to the Grindr App).

If you are browsing a non-Grindr Services web domain (e.g., Grindr Site or Grindr Blog) or if you are not logged into your Grindr account (e.g., Grindr Web's landing page), your request to opt-out of sale via the Signal will be processed and linked to your browser identifier only (and not linked to your Grindr account because the connection between your browser and the account is not known to us).

If you are browsing the Grindr App, your request to opt-out of sale via the Signal will not be processed as Signals are currently only supported by browser experiences.

Do Not Track. Some web browser settings may allow you to automatically transmit a "Do Not Track" signal to online services you visit. Note, however, there is no consensus as to what "Do Not Track" means in this context. Like many online services, Grindr currently does not recognize automated browser signals regarding tracking mechanisms, which may include "Do Not Track" instructions. To find out more about "Do Not Track," you can visit https://www.allaboutdnt.com .

Data Retention. We retain your Personal Information for no longer than is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the information was collected or as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law or pursuant to Grindr Terms and Conditions of Service and/or Grindr Community Guidelines.
