Last year, we published our product roadmap publicly for the first time. After years of underinvestment in the core app, we were finally in a position to build the kinds of experiences our users deserve — and the team overdelivered.
We didn’t just ship features. We rebuilt the foundation and raised the bar launching Right Now, Taken on Grindr, For You, early gAI™ rollouts, and major upgrades that made Grindr faster, less buggy, and more modern.
In 2026, we’re building on that momentum with a simple goal: help you get what you want faster, with more confidence and less friction. We’re pushing Right Now forward as the fastest and best way to connect with guys who are ready to hook up, including discreet posting and a new surprise feature that we know Right Now users will love. We’re also improving onboarding, discovery, travel, and localization so Grindr feels more relevant wherever you are and for whatever you’re looking for.
The biggest shift is that gAI™ is no longer a standalone feature. It’s becoming an intelligence layer across the entire app. You’ll see it in the moments that matter most: finding more of your type without starting over, upgrading search everywhere (including inside chats), and a Smart Inbox that prioritizes the conversations most likely to go somewhere. The point isn’t “AI” for its own sake. It’s fewer dead ends, less noise, and more real connections.
We’re also scaling premium in a more focused and powerful way. EDGE is our first premium experience built entirely on gAI™, designed for highly engaged users who want to spend less time searching and more time connecting. As we expand it globally, we’ll keep adding capabilities that increase signal, reduce effort, and make discovery sharper and more intentional. We’re also incubating an even more elevated premium experience that blends culture, lifestyle, and advanced technology in a way only Grindr can.
And we’re continuing to build the Global Gayborhood with intention. In 2026, we’re putting Grindr “on the map” by making maps central to discovery, testing hotel booking within the maps experience, and launching Health Center in the US for sexual health, wellness products, and trusted education built specifically for gay and bi men, with plans over time to integrate benefits into select subscriptions. At the same time, we’re investing in performance and stability to ensure Grindr stays fast, reliable, and high-quality as we grow.

After a breakout year, Right Now has quickly become the fastest way to connect with guys who are ready and looking to hookup. In 2026, we’re turning up the heat by making Right Now even faster, more intuitive, and more action-oriented.
We’re starting by putting Right Now directly onto the map, so you can see who’s nearby and ready to hookup. Browse posts around you, find the closest guys who are ready to play, and get what you want right when you want it.
Additionally, Discreet Posts now let you join the action without putting your profile on blast. Post, browse replies, and reveal yourself only when you are ready.

Incubating a more elevated, luxury-focused experience
We’re also incubating a new, invite-only luxury experience for a select group of highly engaged members, delivering elevated access, priority visibility, and a more tailored Grindr journey that blends enhanced product capabilities with a more curated, lifestyle-forward approach to connection.
Expanding the Gayborhood by putting it on the map
Great connections start with knowing who and what’s around you.
That’s why we're making the map central to Grindr’s digital Gayborhood, where people and places come together and the community around you comes to life in a whole new way. Soon, you’ll be able to discover not just profiles, but also gay bars, clubs, restaurants, gyms, and other local spots that make our community vibrant, whether you’re at home or traveling.
We’ll also begin exploring hotel booking directly within the Grindr map experience through an initial beta launch. This is an early initiative, and we plan to gather user feedback and understand how much value the community places on it before deciding how broadly to expand it. Over time, we’ll continue expanding the map’s role across Grindr, connecting you to more of the people, spaces, and experiences that make up the Global Gayborhood in Your Pocket.
To help you explore and experience Gayborhoods around the world, we’re using AI to make it easier to connect with people across languages. Smarter, real-time translations will make conversations feel more natural and more accurate, helping you connect confidently across cultures. Whether you’re traveling or chatting with someone halfway around the world, the global Gayborhood should feel seamless.
Health and wellness for gay and bi men
Health Center is a new in-app destination, built specifically for our community, for trusted and personalized education. Building on Woodwork by Grindr, we’re expanding our offerings to include comprehensive sexual health programming, cardiometabolic health optimization, weight management, hair loss solutions, and longevity and wellness products. Our goal is simple: make trusted, discreet care easier to access for gay and bi men, directly from the Grindr app.
Over time, we plan to integrate Health Center benefits into select subscriptions, creating added value across tiers like XTRA, Unlimited, and EDGE with exclusive access, preferred pricing, or bundled offerings.
Health Center will launch first in the US, with plans to expand selected offerings to additional regions in the future.
Raising the bar on quality
Great products are built on strong foundations. In 2026, we’re investing deeply in performance, stability, and overall experience to make Grindr faster, cleaner, and more reliable across the board.
A better ads experience
We’re improving the quality of ads across the app, with a focus on relevance, performance, and overall user experience. That includes expanding rewarded ads, giving users the option to unlock premium features by watching an ad, making the value exchange clear and worthwhile.
At the same time, we're refining where and when ads appear in the app, including rolling back certain legacy placements which will significantly reduce friction. The goal is to create a more intentional ad experience for users and stronger performance for our advertising partners.
Rearchitecting the core
Behind the scenes, we’re undertaking a major rearchitecture of key systems across the app. This includes meaningful reductions and modernization of legacy code, improving load times, stability, and scalability. These foundational upgrades have already helped us reach >99.95% crash-free rates on Android and iOS and our ongoing efforts will drive further improvements in app performance, including faster loading profiles, smoother scrolling, and fewer crashes and bugs.
Strengthening our ecosystem
We’re also tapping more into gAI™ to support the ongoing health and quality of our ecosystem and platform. By building and training models internally, we aim to enhance our ability to identify bad actors, reduce spam, and support our community standards, while continuing to invest in innovation. This investment in infrastructure is designed to help us scale a high quality experience as Grindr grows.
