Grindr Adds AJ Wolf and Max Roche as it Expands Finance and Engineering Teams
Los Angeles - Grindr (NYSE: GRND), the world’s largest social network for the LGBTQ community, today announced that AJ Wolf and Max Roche have joined the company’s finance and engineering teams, respectively.
Wolf, who will join Grindr as Senior Manager of Product Finance, brings a broad range of experience in building innovative consumer and technology platforms, as well as harnessing the power of software to foster meaningful social connections. Wolf most recently co-founded and led Athena, an online health and wellness social networking platform to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Before founding Athena, Wolf was a Senior Associate at Boston Consulting Group focused on private equity, consumer, and fintech clients, and earlier worked as a Fixed Income Analyst at Goldman Sachs. Wolf holds a Master’s degree from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from Duke University.
Roche joins Grindr as a Senior iOS Engineer. Having co-founded Athena alongside Wolf, as well as serving as its Chief Technology Officer, Roche brings foundational experience in leveraging software to drive user engagement across consumer platforms. Before starting Athena, Roche served as an iOS Senior Software Engineer for Wayfair, expanding the platform’s user interface and functionality. Roche received a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Amherst College.
Wolf and Roche join Grindr as the company looks to expand how it enables the global LGBTQ community to connect and express themselves safely. With their expertise, Wolf and Roche will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities for the Grindr platform and support the rollout of innovative features for its users.
