If you haven’t heard, we’re celebrating our 10th birthday.
What started as a dream in West Hollywood to create a safe space for gay men to connect has turned into the largest community of gay, bi, trans and queer people in the world.
First, we want to say thank you. Without you—our users, partners, and community—we wouldn’t be here today.
We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together. Today, 4 million daily Grindr users in virtually every country in the world use our platform to connect, discover, and thrive.
As we’ve grown, we’ve used Grindr’s enormous power to do good for the greater LGBTQ+ community. Our Kindr initiative has taken on important issues like sexual racism, body shaming, transphobia, and more. And through Grindr for Equality, we’ve provided sexual health, safety and gender identity resources to at-risk users in countries where it's still unsafe to be LGBTQ+.
But we recognize there’s still work to do. As we embark on our eleventh year, we want to refocus on authenticity with our users and the rest of the LGBTQ+ community.
In the coming year, we'll be working to make the Grindr experience more authentic—including introducing new features to better meet our users’ needs, showcasing real stories of real users through video and content, and finding more ways to support and empower the global LGBTQ+ community.
This community is ours. Let us protect it, champion it, and challenge ourselves to be as authentic as we can be—this year and in the next ten.
