Our Values

Grindr is a global community for men of all backgrounds to connect with one another. We strive to create a safe space where all are welcome to be who they are and express themselves without fear of judgment.

In order for everyone to have the best time possible, we have a system of digital and human screening tools to protect our users from actions and behaviors that endanger them and go against what we’re about. And while we constantly evolve these tools as our audience grows, we also rely on our community to play nice and watch each other’s backs.

So if you’re going to hang with us, you should know where we stand on a few things:

We do not condone the abuse of drugs and those who use our platform to conduct the sales and distribution of them. Keeping our grid drug-free is a top priority.

Like almost every digital social network, Grindr is not meant to be used as a platform to promote sexual solicitations of any kind between users.

STD Prevention

We are strong advocates for STD education and regular testing. Know your body and know the risks of any sexual activity you engage in. Sharing your status and asking questions about your partner’s status are smart and honest ways to play.

You can find what you’re looking for on Grindr without stepping on anyone’s toes. We have zero tolerance for discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender, race, body type, or age. Basically, we don’t like assholes. Instead of sharing what you’re not into, share what you’re into.

Let’s work together to make these values a part of everybody’s experience on Grindr. We encourage you to take action whenever you see any of the negative behavior described above. Report what you see, flag profiles, and speak up. And make sure to do it thoughtfully. Let’s do our part to make Grindr a better community now and for years to come.
